Tobias Mattsson

Tobias Mattsson (* 1974 ) is a Swedish football referee and assistant.

Career

Mattsson started as a referee at Svenska Fotbollförbundet in 1995 . In 2004 he made his debut as a game master in the Superettan and was one of the youngest referees in the Swedish elite series when he played for the Allsvenskan in 2007. In his debut game, he made headlines when he had to hand over the control of the game to the fourth official due to heart problems . In 2009 he suffered the same fate again.

2006 Mattsson was used for the first time in international matches, sometimes as assistant referee. From the summer of 2010, he covered in particular the position of the penalty area referee.

Mattsson works full-time as a real estate agent. He is based in Karlstad .
