Death and Murder Beat was a music group from Berlin .
Yok Quetschenpaua , founder and leader of this left-wing political punk band , described their style of music as a mixture of punk , ska , rock , ballad and pongo .
Members of the band were Yok (accordion), Uwe (guitar), Ernie (bass), Christian (drums), and mostly various guest musicians. The band existed from 1995 to 1999. The last appearance on September 25, 1999 in Berlin (Supamolly) was the 120th concert.
Yok Quetschenpaua is still politically and musically active.
