The Todtmooser waterfall is a cascading waterfall in the course of the Rüttebach between the Todtmooser districts Rütte and Hintertodtmoos. "The total height of fall extends over almost 40 meters, the highest" individual fall "is around seven meters."
description
The Rüttebach is the right and northern main source load of the Wehra , which unites with the shorter and less catchment area left and northeastern branch of the name of the Wehra, also called Hohwehra , in Vordertodtmoos, which then flows further south through the Wehratal to the Upper Rhine . The origin of the Rüttebach lies above the Todtmoos district of Rütte am Rotkreuz.
Since 1986 the waterfall has been designated as an extensive natural monument because of its rarity in terms of shape, size and location in the local area.
The waterfall is easily accessible from a parking lot on the L 146 (Todtmoos-Bernau) and is accessed via a secured footbridge. The connoisseur path Todtmooser Lebküchlerweg also leads past the waterfall.
