The Tolino Epos 2 is an 8-inch (20.32 cm) e-book reader from the Tolino Alliance , which was published for the 2019 Frankfurt Book Fair . The model is identical to the Kobo Forma released in 2018 .

Like its predecessor, the Epos , it has water protection according to the IPX8 standard. This means that the device should be protected from water penetrating up to 2 meters deep for 60 minutes. The technical equipment such as the 1 GHz NXP- i.MX6 processor, the 512 MB RAM and the 8 GB internal storage space, of which approx. 6 GB are available for user content, have also remained the same.

What is new, however, is the larger E-Ink Carta display format, which offers a resolution of 1440 × 1920 pixels (300  ppi ) and is equipped with smartLight technology. This display is integrated in a newly designed housing with a handle and paging buttons. The external format of the Epos 2 is 159 × 177.5 × 3.9 mm (with a 6.72 mm handle). The device weighs 195 g.
