properties

service

In contrast to the Tolino Shine, the Tolino Vision has a flat surface. The " Home " button is no longer mechanical, but is operated by touch. The Tolino Vision has a brown housing (similar to the tolino shine), whereas the display and the insert are black. The screen pane merges smoothly into the frame, making the device look more elegant than the Tolino Shine. Otherwise, there are on / off switches for the device and the button for the lighting as with the Tolino Shine. The " reset " button, micro-USB port and micro-SD input are open and are no longer hidden under a flap like the Tolino Shine.

The e-book formats EPUB , PDF and TXT can be read on the Tolino Vision . The e-reader can be connected to a PC via a micro USB cable. The device can be connected to the Tolino Cloud (spelling: tolino Cloud) via a WLAN connection , where e-books and documents can be uploaded or downloaded. The customer has 25 GB of online storage space in the cloud at the respective bookseller.

criticism

The ghosting effect was often criticized in the Tolino Vision . This is a page turning phenomenon where the previous page is still slightly displayed and does not go away completely. This problem has been fixed by the tolino alliance in the software updates. It is also possible to set the refreshing of the pages in the menu settings of the tolino vision so that the ghosting effect is avoided.
