Tom Amarque (born November 21, 1974 in Eutin ) is a German author , philosopher , publisher and podcaster.

Amarque was co-editor of MinD magazine until 1997 . His non-fiction books lie in the field of tension between psychology , philosophy and spirituality . He lives and works in Mallorca .

Amarque's philosophy is a development philosophy of self and world shaping that integrates psychological, philosophical and spiritual knowledge and insights; he calls this approach "performance philosophy", the focus of which is on self-referential observation, will and conscious self and world narration. The starting point of his work is also the question of what possibilities and difficulties the transition from a postmodern to a post-postmodern cultural epoch presents for people and their development.

Amarque's Podcast Lateral Conversations was founded in 2015 and consists of in-depth interviews with scientists, philosophers, artists and activists. He interviewed Jordan B. Peterson , Ken Wilber , Stephen Hicks , Zack Leary, Allan Combs, Thaddeus Russell, Don Beck and Hanzi Freinacht , among others .
