Tom Bianchi
Tom Bianchi (* 1945 in Illinois , USA ) is an American nude photographer and writer .
Career
Tom Bianchi gave up his position as legal advisor to Columbia Pictures in 1979 to pursue his artistic work. In 1980 he made his debut as a photographer at the Parson / Dreyfus Gallery in New York. In 1991 he published his first photo volume with the title “Out of the studio”, in 2006 the 12th photo volume with the title “Deep Sex” followed. Bianchi's nudes offer insights into gay scenes in the USA and have all been bestsellers. The books that appeared later also include Tom's texts on the philosophy of aesthetics , eroticism in art, and socio-political issues.
AIDS activist
Because of his biographical background, Bianchi, who is himself an HIV patient, is involved in several projects in the fight against AIDS. In addition to his artistic work, Tom Bianchi is a co-founder of a biotech company and leads funding for the development of new AIDS drug treatments. In 2005 he was a contributor to the touching documentary Gay Sex in the 70s .
