Thomas Joseph Hitchcock (born October 1, 1992 in Hemel Hempstead ) is an English football player . He is used in the position of the striker .

Career

Hitchcock entered the youth academy of Premier League representative Blackburn Rovers at the age of twelve . His personal connection to the Rovers came about through his father Kevin Hitcock , who worked as a goalkeeper coach in Blackburn after his active goalkeeping career , which he spent at Chelsea , among others . In the 2009/10 season he was used for the first time in the reserve team, where he scored his first goal in four appearances.

After he was able to earn a regular place in the second team of the Blackburn Rovers, the fourth division Plymouth Argyle became aware of him in the summer of 2011 and granted him participation in the preparation for the season. In a friendly against Bristol City he was used and scored a goal directly. Then an agreement was reached with the Rovers on a three-month loan deal. Hitchcock made his professional football debut on August 6, 2011 in a 1-1 draw against Shrewsbury Town .

In total, he came in his time in Plymouth on ten missions, in which he did not score a goal. As a result, his loan contract, which expired in late October 2011, was not renewed, so he returned to the Blackburn Rovers. Currently, however, he is still not in the first team squad.
