Tomas Josas

Tomas Josas (born March 7, 1940 in Klabai , Šilalė district ) is a Lithuanian politician, mayor of Panevėžys .

Biography

After graduation in 1960 at the middle school Batakiai in tauragė district municipality Josas completed 1960-1965 Diploma Studies of civil engineering at the Technical University of Kaunas and was an engineer for railway -construction. From 1970 he worked as a senior engineer in Panevėžys. From 1991 to 1995 he headed the Panevėžys City Council. From 1995 to 1996 he was the mayor of Panevėžys Municipality and from 1997 to 2000 the head of Panevėžys District .

From 1993 he was a member of Tėvynės sąjunga , from 1999 of Nuosaikiųjų konservatorių sąjunga , from 2000 Krikščionių konservatorių socialinė sąjunga , from 2007 of Lietuvos Respublikos liberalų sąjūdis (LRLS).
