Tomasz Robert Garbowski (born January 7, 1979 in Kluczbork ) is a Polish politician , historian and member of the Sejm in the V. and VI . Electoral term.

He graduated from the Faculty of History at the University of Opole . From 2001 to 2005 he worked as assistant to the Wojwoden the Opole Province . From 2002 to 2005 he was a member of the Sejmik of the Opole Voivodeship.

In 2005 he was elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Opole via the list of Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (Federation of Democratic Left - SLD). He was a member of the Sejm Commission for Agriculture and Rural Development and the Commission for National and Ethnic Minorities.

In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he won a seat in the Sejm for the second time with 13,651 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats LiD). In the VI. He is a member of the Sejm Commissions for Infrastructure, Agriculture and Rural Development, and Sport.

Since April 22, 2008 he has been a member of the Lewica parliamentary group .

Since 2004 he has been chairman of the Opole Voivodship Council of the SLD
