Lewica (parliamentary group)
Lewica (German: Die Linke ) is a parliamentary group in the Sejm and an electoral project of Sojusz Lewicy Demokratieycznej (Federation of Democratic Left - SLD). It was founded on April 22, 2008 after the collapse of the electoral alliance and the Sejm faction Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD). Lewica has set itself the goal of contributing to the unification of left parties and organizations as well as trade unions. It belongs to the Socialist International and stands for a social democratic policy.
