Stanislaw Stec

Stanisław Stec (born March 22, 1941 in Jazowsko ) is a Polish politician , since 1993 a member of the Sejm in the II., III., IV. And VI . Electoral term and a former State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan . Until 1999 he was a member of the Socjaldemokracja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej (Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland - SdRP), then he joined the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (Federation of the Democratic Left - SLD).

Until the mid-1990s he was director of a cooperative agricultural production. In the parliamentary elections in 1993, 1997, 2001 and 2005 , he won a seat in the Sejm through the SLD list. From October 2001 to November 21, 2005 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.

In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was re-elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Piła with 10,908 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD) . He is a member of the Sejm commissions for agriculture and public finances.

Since April 22, 2008 he has been a member of the newly established Lewica parliamentary group .

In May 1998 he became an honorary citizen of Grodzisk Wielkopolski .
