Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk

Krzysztof Adam Matyjaszczyk (born May 27, 1974 in Radomsko ) is a Polish politician , municipal official and from 2007 to 2010 a member of the Sejm .

He graduated from the Technical University of Częstochowa in 1999 . He belongs to the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (Federation of the Democratic Left - SLD). He worked as a representative of the Starostwo leader in the powiat Częstochowski .

In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Częstochowa on the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD) with 16,432 votes . He is a member of the Sejm Commission for Public Finance.

On April 22, 2008 he became a member of the newly founded Lewica parliamentary group . Since 2010 he has been the mayor of Częstochowa . In the 2018 elections, he was elected in the first ballot with 59.8% of the vote, ahead of Artur Warzocha from PiS , who received 25.5% of the votes, and four other candidates.
