Ryszard Zbrzyzny (born May 4, 1955 in Lubawka ) is a Polish politician , trade union official and since 1991 a member of the Sejm in the I., II., III., VI., V. and VI . Electoral term.

He graduated from the Mining Faculty of the Technical University of Wroclaw and from the Faculty of Computer Science and Management of the University of Economics in Wroclaw . He has been professionally connected to KGHM Polska Miedź in Lublin since the second half of the 1970s . Since 1991 he has been chairman of the union for workers in the copper industry.

In the parliamentary elections in 1991, 1993, 1997, 2001 and 2005 , he won a seat in the Sejm on the list of Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (Federation of the Democratic Left - SLD). During these electoral terms, he was, among other things, Deputy Chairman of the Sejm Commission for the State Treasury and a member of the Committee of Inquiry into the privatization of the largest Polish insurance company Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń (PZU) .

From 1998 to 2001 he was a member of the Sejmik of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (Dolny Śląsk).

In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was re-elected to the Sejm for the Legnica constituency with 11,049 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD). During this electoral term he is also a member of the Sejm commissions for the treasury.

Since April 22, 2008 he has been a member of the newly established Lewica parliamentary group .
