Witold Gintowt-Dziewałtowski
Witold Józef Gintowt-Dziewałtowski (born January 11, 1949 in Drewnica ) is a Polish politician , local politician and since 1997 a member of the Sejm in the III., IV., V. and VI . Electoral term.
From 1968 to 1990 he was an active member of the Polska Zjednoczona Partia Robotnicza (Polish United Workers' Party - PZPR). From 1981 to 1986 he was First Secretary of the PZPR City Committee in Elbląg . From 1966 to 1988 he was a member of the Association of Polish Rural Youth and the Association of Polish Socialist Youth.
From 1966 to 1967 he worked in the Agricultural Production Group Kopanów II. From 1967 to 1970 he was an accountant in the LPG Jesionna. From 1970 to 1974 he was a financial inspector in the LPG inspection in Elbląg and then until 1975 he was chairman of the district planning commission in the district office of Nowy Dwór Gdański .
In 1976 he graduated from the Faculty of Organization and Management at the University of Gdansk .
From 1975 to 1981 he was employed as chief voivodship inspector in the voivodship office in Elbląg. From 1986 to 1990 he was chairman of the housing cooperative administration "Nad Jarem" in Elbląg and then until 1994 chairman of the housing cooperative administration "Zakrzewo". From 1994 to 1998 he was Mayor of Elbląg.
From 1990 to 1999 he was a functionary in the Socjaldemokracja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej party (Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland - SdRP). In 1999 he joined the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (Federation of the Democratic Left - SLD) and sat on the state board of this party.
He has been a member of the Sejm since 1997. He was a member of the Sejm Commission for Local Self-Government and Regional Policy in the III., IV. And V electoral term, from 1997 to 2005 he was deputy chairman of this commission. From July 10th to November 4th 2007 and again since November 30th 2007 he is a member of the Council for the Public Service.
In the 2007 parliamentary elections , he won a member of the Sejm for the fourth time through the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD) for the Elbląg constituency with 9,875 votes. In the VI. He is deputy chairman of the Sejm Commission for Local Self-Government and a member of the Commission for MPs.
On April 22, 2008 he moved to the Lewica faction .
