Artur Ostrowski

Artur Ostrowski (born September 29, 1968 in Piotrków Trybunalski ) is a Polish politician and has been a member of the Sejm in the V. and VI . Electoral term.

Life

In 1988 he graduated from the Electronic Technical Center, after which he studied pedagogy at the University of Warsaw until 1994 . He is also a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science. From 1994 to 2003 he worked as a primary school teacher in Piotrków Tribunalski. Later he was vice voivode of the Łódź Voivodeship .

In the parliamentary elections for the Sejm 2005 he was elected for the first time on the list of Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (League of Democratic Left - SLD) with 7,043 votes for the constituency of Piotrków Trybunalski as a member of the Sejm. In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was re-elected to the Sejm with 13,112 votes from the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD). He is a member of the Sejm Commissions for State Control as well as Education, Science and Youth.

Since April 22, 2008 he has been a member of the newly established Lewica parliamentary group .
