Lone Star (band)
Lone Star was a British rock band founded in Cardiff , Wales in 1975 by Paul "Tonka" Chapman . They were signed by CBS Records and released their debut album Lone Star , which reached number 47 on the UK album charts in 1976. For the second album, Firing On All Six , singer Kenny Driscoll was replaced by John Sloman. This album climbed to number 36 in the UK album charts. In 1978 the band broke up.
Driscoll and Hurley re-formed the band in 1979 and tried unsuccessfully to get a new record deal. They played a few concerts in 1980.
A third album, Riding High , was released in 2000 on the Zoom Club label.
