Jarosław Matwiejuk

Jarosław Matwiejuk (born January 24, 1968 in Białystok ) is a Polish politician , local politician, lawyer and since 2007 a member of the Sejm in the VI . Electoral term.

He completed his law studies at the University of Warsaw (branch in Białystok) and received his doctorate. Since 2005 he has been Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Białystok .

From 1998 to 2006 he was a member of the Białystok City Council and in 2006 and 2007 he was a member of the Sejmik of the Podlaskie Voivodeship .

In the 2007 parliamentary elections , he was elected to the Sejm with 20,770 votes for the constituency of Białystok from the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD) (as a non-party with the recommendation of Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (Federation of Democratic Left - SLD)). He is a member of the Sejm commissions for administration and home affairs as well as for examining parliamentary projects to amend the constitution .

On April 22, 2008 he became a member of the newly founded Lewica parliamentary group .
