Witold Klepacz

Witold Janusz Klepacz (born July 7, 1953 in Kłobuck ) is a Polish politician , local politician, member of the Sejm in the V., VI . and VII . Electoral term.

He graduated from the Faculty of Construction at the Silesian Technical University in Gliwice . Until 1983 he worked in the construction company and in Huta Katowice , after which he ran his own company.

From 2002 to 2006 he was Deputy Mayor of Sosnowiec . He obtained a mandate for the SLD in the Sejm of the fifth electoral term as a successor to Zbigniew Podraza , who was elected mayor of Dąbrowa Górnicza . In the 2007 parliamentary elections , he was re-elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Sosnowiec with 24,589 votes via the left-liberal LiD list . He is a member of the Sejm Commission for Infrastructure.

After the LiD collapsed, he became a member of the Sejm faction Lewica ("Die Linke") on April 22, 2008 .

He is chairman of the SLD regional association in Sosnowiec and was confirmed in this position in 2008. On April 26, he moved from the SLD to the Ruch Palikota ( Palikot movement ).
