Tomasz Gwinciński

Tomasz Gwinciński (born January 15, 1963 in Bydgoszcz ) is a Polish guitarist, percussionist and composer.

Gwinciński began studying medicine and philosophy and then studied composition with Bogusław Schaeffer . He is considered to be one of the founders of the Polish yass scene . With the double bass player Sławomir Janicki and the drummer Jacek Buhl , he founded the Yass band Tryton (later Maestro Trytony ) in 1990 . She gave numerous concerts and released two albums: Tańce bydgoskie and Zarys matematyki niewinnej .

He also founded the group Tele Echo with Tomasz Hesse and Tomasz Pawlicki , directed the NonLinear Ensemble (CD Clever Nonsense ) and performed with musicians such as Ryszard Tymański , Mikołaj Trzaska and Kazik Staszewski . He also composed music for theater performances ( Ubu Krol ), which he played live with his band. After 2000 he also composed music for feature films and documentaries. He has been working with the director Paweł Passini since 2005 and with the theater director and actor Wojciech Kościelniak since 2008 .
