Tomasz Smolarz (born August 6, 1966 in Bielawa ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

He attended the general high school in Dzierżoniów and then studied construction ( budownictwo lądowe ) at the Technical University of Wroclaw ( Politechnika Wrocławska ). He completed his studies in 1992 with a master's degree . From 1992 to 1998 he works as a building inspector for the city of Dzierżoniów. Then he was deputy chairman of the Bielawa housing association until 2002 and deputy mayor of Dzierżoniów from 2002 to 2007. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 , Smolarz stood in constituency 2 Wałbrzych and was able to win a mandate for the Sejm with 8,208 votes . There he worked from 2007 to June 2008 in the Committee for Territorial Self-Government and Regional Policy and since mid-2008 in the Committees for Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism and State Assets .

Tomasz Smolarz is married and has one daughter.
