Tomi Pekkala (born November 19, 1988 in Liminka ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who has been under contract with TIHC Tiikerit in the fourth class II division since January 2015 .

Career

Tomi Pekkala already played in the junior division for Kärpät Oulu , for whose professional team he made his debut in the SM-liiga in the 2008/09 season . In ten games he remained pointless and received two penalty minutes. In addition, the attacker was on the ice in a group game of the Champions Hockey League for Kärpät. At the end of the season, Pekkala was runner-up with his team after they were defeated by JYP Jyväskylä in the best-of-seven series in the finals with a sweep .

For the 2009/10 season , Pekkala moved within the SM-liiga to Tappara Tampere , where he became a regular player. In his first full season in the top Finnish league, he scored twelve goals for Tappara in 52 games and gave another ten templates.
