Tommaso Romito (born February 9, 1982 in Bari ) is an Italian football player who has been under contract with Pescara Calcio in Serie B since summer 2008 .

Career

Tommaso Romito began his career in the youth team of Victoria Locorotondo , for whose team he gained his first experience in the fifth-rate Serie D in the 2000/01 season . The defender became an integral part of the defense of the Apulian team and moved to league rivals Manfredonia Calcio a year later . The defender also received many appearances at Manfredonia and was also able to score a goal in that season. He was then signed by the Abruzzo club Calcio Chieti . After playing 36 league games in the third- tier C1 series in the first two years , he was finally able to establish himself as a regular player in the 2004/05 season.

Romito signed a contract with the traditional club SSC Napoli in January 2005 and played three games for the southern Italians by the end of the season. In the following season he made 26 appearances in Serie C1 and managed to return to Serie B as the winner of Girone B with Napoli . For the 2006/07 season, a loan to third division Salernitana Calcio followed . Romito could not prevail there in the long term and was awarded to Pescara Calcio for the following season . At Pescara he made the leap into the regular formation and achieved fourth place with the team in the C1 series.

In the summer of 2008 the Delfini took him under contract and Romito finally moved from SSC Naples to the largest city in Abruzzo. In the 2008/09 season he completed seven games in the league, which has now been renamed Lega Pro Prima Divisione and could not impose it.

At the end of the 2009/10 season, he was promoted to the second division with Pescara. In the play-off finals, the team prevailed against Hellas Verona .
