Toni Khoury

Toni Khoury (born September 26, 1935 ) is a Lebanese sports official.

General

Toni Khoury is the owner of an engineering company. For the NOC of Lebanon he was President from 1988 to 1996 and Vice President from 1996 to 2008. He accompanied Lebanese teams to a total of eleven Olympic Games. He was a functionary at the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Summer Games, and as Chef de Mission at the 1976, 1984 and 1988 Games . He was head of delegation at the 1988 and 1994 Winter Games and at the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Summer Games. At the Asian Games in 1982, 1986, 1990 and 1994 he was Chef de Mission. He was head of delegation at the Asian Games in 1998 and at the Mediterranean Games in 1983, 1987, 1991, 1993, 1997 and 2001. Since 2005 he has been the spokesman for the World Taekwondo Federation .

IOC membership

In 1995 Toni Khoury was elected an IOC member. In 2015 his membership ended for reasons of age, since then he has been an honorary member.
