Tony Anholt

Anthony Anholt (born January 19, 1941 in Singapore , † July 26, 2002 in London ) was a British actor .

Life

Tony Anholt's father passed away at an early age and so his mother moved with him to England. In school he made a name for himself with sports and Shakespearean plays, and that's how young Anthony got into acting.

After a few part-time jobs, he took part in an acting crash course in 1964 and appeared on TV in a commercial for potato chips. After a few more commercials, Anholt got roles in various television series. His best-known role is probably that of Tony Verdeschi in the series Moon Base Alpha 1 .

With his first wife Sheila Willet, Anholt had their son Christien Anholt , who also became an actor. In 1990 Tony Anholt married Tracey Childs , with whom he starred in the television series Howard's Way .

In 2002 Anholt died of complications from a brain tumor .
