Tony Mitchell (born August 9, 1961 in Toronto , Canada ) is a British-Canadian film and television director.

Career

He has made many miniseries, films and series episodes, such as  Supervolkan  (2004), The Flood - When the Sea Devours the Cities  (2007), Episodes 3.1, 3.3, of  Primeval (2009), Atlantis (2011) The Bible  (2013) and AD: The Bible Goes On (2015). He has also made many award-winning documentaries such as  Threads of Life for the BBC , The Niagara Falls  from PBS / CH4, Wild Thing - Chimpanzee from CH4 and  The Ancient Egyptians from CH4.

He has a Canadian and British passport and a US green card. He also has homes in  London , Cape Town  and  Belfast .
