The Top 12 2019 was the 17th French women's chess team championship .

Champion was CEMC Monaco , while the defending champion Club de Clichy-Echecs-92 had to be content with fourth place. Last year Asnières - Le Grand Echiquier , the Association Cannes-Echecs , the Saint-Brieucer Verein Echiquier Briochin and Stanislas Echecs from Nancy rose from the Nationale I. While Asnières and Cannes achieved relegation, Echiquier Briochin and Stanislas Echecs, along with Echiquier Nîmois and the Club de Montpellier Echecs, had to relegate directly.

Game dates

The preliminary round took place from May 2nd to 5th in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy , the final round took place in Saint-Quentin on June 29th and 30th .

mode

The twelve participating clubs played a simple round-robin tournament in two preliminary round groups with six teams each. The number of team points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight), then the direct comparison, then the difference between winning and losing games and ultimately the number of winning games. The last two of each preliminary round were relegated to National I, while the first two qualified for the final round. This was carried out in the knockout system , with third place also being played out.
