The Toplumcu Demokrasi Partisi (abbreviation TDP, in German Party of Social Democracy ) is a social democratic political party in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus , which is center-left in the political spectrum of the republic . It emerged in 2007 from the union of the Toplumcu Kurtuluş Partisi (Party of Social Liberation), founded in 1976, and the Barış ve Demokrasi Hareketi (Movement for Peace and Democracy), founded in 2003 .
Cemal Özyiğit is the chairman of the TDP. It is represented in the Assembly of the Republic by three deputies.
