Topography or topography ( Greek τόπος tópos , German 'place' , and γράφω gráphō , German 'write' ) stands for:
- in geosciences the surface of the earth, see terrain
- in geography the description of the shape and position of objects on the earth's surface, see topography (cartography)
- a cartographic country description is out of date
- dimensioned sketch for finding survey points, the point description
- the geometry and / or microstructure of technical surfaces, see topography (measurement technology)
- in meteorology, a representation of planes of equal air pressure in the earth's atmosphere, see Relative Topography
