The Topping Cone is an exposed volcanic cone on the Antarctic Ross Island . Not far from Cape Crozier at the eastern end of the island, it rises 2.8 km northwest of the summit of The Knoll .

The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after the New Zealand geologist Wayne W. Topping (* 1947), who was involved in investigations of this volcanic cone between 1969 and 1970 as part of a campaign by Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions .
