The Torfbahn Gladkoje ( Russian Узкоколейная железная дорога торфопредприятия "Гладкое" , transkr. Uskokoleinaja schelesnaja doroga torfopredprijatija "Gladkoje" , transl. Uzkokolejnaja železnaja doroga torfopredprijatija "Gladkoe" ) is a narrow-gauge railway in the settlement Gladkoje in Rajon Tosnenski in the Leningrad Oblast in Russia , a good 10 km north of the city of Tosno .

history

The peat railway, which was more than 11 km long in its heyday , of which 7 km are still in operation today, was put into operation in 1970. In 2016 repairs were carried out on the tracks. The narrow-gauge railway has a track width of 750 mm and is mainly used for peat transport and the transportation of workers. It is in operation all year round.
