The Gatehouse Seedorf is a gatehouse in the community of Seedorf in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein .

The gatehouse was built in 1583 in the Dutch late renaissance style as part of the fortifications of the Seedorf estate .

The building consists of the actual gatehouse, which in turn is flanked by two towers. It was built from bricks - the facade is structured with window frames and cornices made of sandstone and has numerous decorative anchors . The three-storey gatehouse has one with tiles roofed hipped roof , the towers have with slate -covered spiers .

On the front of the gatehouse on the lower floor there are four granite loopholes with small cannons .

In 1929 the gatehouse was placed under a preservation order and became the property of the Seedorf community . It is part of the coat of arms of the community of Seedorf.

The gatehouse was extensively renovated from 1963 to 1968 and from 2000 to 2002. Today it is used for events, as a museum, as well as a registry office, archive and office.
