Torkild Hinrichsen
Torkild Hinrichsen (born March 17, 1948 in Hamburg ) is a German art historian and former director of the Altona Museum .
He studied art history, prehistory and early history and archeology in Hamburg, where he then held an assistant position in art history. Research assistant at the Altona Museum since 1979, from 1980 to 1986 he was deputy director at the Museum for Art and Cultural History in Dortmund . There he was responsible for reorganizing the collection. In 1986 he returned to the Altona Museum as deputy director and chief curator of the exhibition and study collection, of the General Cultural History Department and the Rieck House branch . When the director Bärbel Hedinger , who had been acting there since the end of 2004, resigned, he became her successor in 2007. In his term of office, which ended in 2013, the ultimately successful fight against the closure of the museum planned by the Senate Ahlhaus (CDU) in 2010/11 took place.
