Torquing (from English torque "torque") is a flight maneuver of 3D aerobatics . It describes the holding of an airplane in a vertical position by its own propulsion, without it climbing. Model airplanes in particular achieve this attitude because of their high excess power .

Mode of action

In aerobatics, torque is the torque of the motor that can cause the single-engine aircraft to rotate around its longitudinal axis via the propeller when the aircraft slows down while climbing and the rudder effect decreases because the flow decreases due to the speed-related airflow . In principle, an aerobatic pilot can fly in an inclined or vertical climb by means of the rotation around the longitudinal axis resulting from the torque, which are not primarily controlled by the oars, but by the throttle.
