The Treudd von Torshammarsbacken (also Torshammarbacken) is one of the largest stone settings in central Sweden . The star-shaped, three-armed Treudd with a concave side of 20 meters comes from the Iron Age .

description

Treudd von Torshammersbacken is located on a hill behind a barn in a clearing in Torsborg (Danaborg) west of Stora Mellösa in the municipality of Örebro . The curbs are 0.5 to 1.0 meters high. Menhirs once stood at the three points, only one of which is now upright. An only slightly smaller Treudd lies northeast of the large one.

Treudd is usually a stone pavement made of pebbles the size of a head and made up of pebbles that are about the size of a head and are set with curbs and slightly raised compared to the surrounding area . The three narrow outer ends are sometimes marked with large blocks. Although some contain Treudd's graves, they are often empty, suggesting that they had a different cultic meaning. Some have stone blocks in the center.

A rune stone near Rödhall in Uppland bears the same name .
