Torsten Engel

Torsten Engel (born July 9, 1963 in Hanover ) is a German journalist and has been programming director of the radio wave NDR 2 since 2002 .

Live and act

During his studies in political science at the Free University of Berlin , Engel worked as a reporter for the former broadcaster Free Berlin . In 1986 he became a permanent freelancer there, and towards the end of the year he switched to the then newly founded private broadcaster Radio FFN in Hanover. After a short time at RIAS 2 in Berlin, he then started at NDR 2 in Hamburg in 1989. From 1993 he built up the NDR youth wave N-Joy , whose program director he remained until the end of 2001. On January 1, 2002, he took on the same position at NDR 2.
