Torsten Günther (* 2. September 1976 in Burscheid ) is a German football - futsal - and Beach Soccer - referee . He whistles for the club SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 in the football association Middle Rhine .

Life

Günther has a degree in business administration and business law, is married and lives in Odenthal.

Athletic career

Torsten Günther has been a referee since 1993. From 2002 to 2007 he directed 49 games in the amateur league. With the 50th game, TSG Sprockhövel against Arminia Bielefeld Amateure, he ended his active career in the field in 2010. From 2003 to 2006 he was active as an assistant in the Junior Bundesliga. He was one of the first referees on the DFB futsal referee list, on which he was listed from 2006 to 2011. During this time his involvement in beach soccer began . In 2011 and 2012 he was a referee at the Euro Beach Soccer League event in Berlin. He has been on the FIFA beach soccer referee list since 2014.
