Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) is one of Landfall developed Ragdoll -Schlacht simulation - computer game , which since April 1, 2019 Early Access on Steam is available. A spin-off called Totally Accurate Battlegrounds was published on June 5, 2018 as a satire of the battle royal genre.

Gameplay

The player is faced with a number of enemy soldiers of different unit types and he must place his own units on the opposite side of the battlefield. After the player clicks "Start", the two sides then rush forward and begin slaughtering each other. The player can pan the camera around the map and follow the slaughter. The match ends when one side has defeated all opposing soldiers. The public alpha contains a short 20-stage campaign with a variety of maps featuring different opposing armies. Each tier has a set price limit, but the player can buy as many troops as they want as long as they don't exceed the limit. There is also a sandbox mode that has no price limits.

development

The game was made during a week-long game jam in a Swedish castle. Landfall Games has released the download to people who registered on their website in July 2016. The game was released in Open Alpha in November 2016, while the Closed Alpha was released in December 2016. The full version of the game was released on April 1, 2019 in Early Access on Steam for Windows and macOS .

reception

The game has been described as having "a lively and silly take on chaotic combat" and has "silly graphics and some sort of shaky body physics," which is part of the "charming appeal of an otherwise realistic simulator ." It has also been described as "brilliant in its simplicity" and "superb".
