Laurent Gillander (born July 27, 1978 in Esch an der Alzette ) is a Luxembourg radio presenter at RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg

Live and act

Gillander attended the Technical University in Dudelange until 1996 and then spent around two years with the Lëtzebuerger Arméi in Diekirch as a temporary soldier. He gained his first radio experience at the age of 16 with the student radio "Radio Diddeleng", and later with Radio LRB, where he worked as a freelancer . In the years that followed, he moderated various programs on this local broadcaster and worked at the same time as a technician at CMD, today's telephone service for the Luxembourg postal company . In 2008, Gillander switched to Eldoradio as a freelancer . A permanent position at the station took place in August of the following year. At first it could only be heard on weekends. During the week he maintained the station's website. In February 2010 he switched to Eldoradio's early morning broadcast. Laurent Gillander has been on the air for the Morningshow XL since the introduction of double moderation in 2011. The show ran from Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. in collaboration with Andy Pawlikowski . From September 2013 to September 2017, Gillander switched from the early shift to the late shift. From then on, it was the daily after-work program from 5 to 8 p.m. that Laurent Gillander produced for 4 years.

In February 2018 he switched to RTL Lëtzebuerg; the station belongs to the RTL Group ( Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaa ). There, Laurent Gillander moderated the afternoon show from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and represented the morning show, which was broadcast daily from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.

The broadcast schedule for September 2019 provides for a change in that Laurent Gillander can be heard on two programs. Every two weeks he moderates the morning broadcast from Monday to Friday between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Then the evening broadcast from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

For the listeners of RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg he passes on his musical knowledge every day in the “Pop History” section.

His show is also a popular point of contact for Luxembourg musicians who would like to talk about their new projects. Some guests in the studio were: Seed To Tree, Tyra or the country musician Buffalo C Wayne.

He conducted further interviews with, among others, Rea Garvey , Charlie Winston , Stefanie Heinzman , Stefanie Kloß .

In addition, Gillander has numerous references in terms of events. From 2004 to 2019 he was regularly on stage for the Fête de la Musique in Kayl . He also works as a conférencier for local companies and events such as Orange , for which he, for example , moderated the public viewing event on the Knuedler for the EM 2012.

Laurent Gillander also worked temporarily as a DJ . From 2015-2017 he played regularly for the restaurant operating company Concept & Partners. The conclusion of his short DJ career took place in Bönen . Here he played his last set as a guest DJ at a party over 25.

During his time at Eldoradio, Laurent Gillander was under contract with IPL and thus became the advertising voice in Luxembourg for CMD and their product Youz, Opel , Mercedes , Ikea , LIDL , HDI Gerling , Peugeot and numerous other local companies. Due to the growing awareness of his voice on RTL, he had to terminate this contract in 2018.
