Tour de Bohemia 1970
The Tour de Bohemia in 1970 was the third Tour de Bohemia and was held from 10 or 11 to 14 July 1970 as a stage race with five stages. The overall winner was the Czechoslovak Rudolph Labus .
The start and finish were in Nový Bor . All stages were characterized by a strongly mountainous profile.
Teams from the Czechoslovakia , Denmark , the United Kingdom , Romania , Austria , the Netherlands , the USSR , Poland , Switzerland and the GDR took part.
After the third stage, Manfred Radochla from the GDR led in the overall standings ahead of the two Czechoslovaks Rudolph Labus (at the same time) and Jiří Prchal (seven seconds behind). After the fourth stage, the Czechoslovak Miloš Hrazdíra took the overall lead with 34 seconds ahead of his compatriot Labus and 44 seconds ahead of Radochla. Labus won the fifth and last stage with a clear lead over his competitors and thus achieved the overall victory of the tour.
