Coordinates: 32 ° 56 ′ S , 117 ° 10 ′ E The Town of Narrogin was a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . On July 1, 2016, the town merged with the surrounding Narrogin Shire . The area was 13 km² and last had about 4200 inhabitants (2011).
Narrogin is located in the southeast of the state in the western Australian "wheat belt" about 165 kilometers southeast of the capital Perth . The LGA consisted only of the city of Narrogin and was surrounded by the Narrogin Shire .

The Narrogin Town Council had ten members, nine councilors and the mayor and chairperson of the council, all elected by all residents of the LGA. Narrogin was not divided into districts.
