The Trøllkonufingur ( Faroese literally troll woman's finger , witch's finger ) is a legendary monolith on the south coast of Vágar / Faroe Islands . It has a height of 313 m.

So far only 11 people have climbed the summit.

1844 visited Crown Prince Friedrich (1848 he became King Frederick VII. Of Denmark ) the islands. One of his entourage climbed Trøllkonufingur and waved to the Crown Prince as he drove past the island. When he got down again, he realized that he had forgotten a glove upstairs. When climbing again he fell to his death. Another version of the story goes that it was a local bird catcher who forgot his pipe upstairs.

Due to the royal visit, the cliff was also given the Danish name Kongespiret .
