Trabeculae
In anatomy, trabecular structures in organs are called trabeculae (from the Latin trabecula , small bar ) :
- in the bone the trabeculae of the substantia spongiosa
- Trabecula septomarginalis or moderator ligament : muscle ligament between the ventricular septum and papillary muscle of the heart
- Trabeculae carneae ("meat bars " or Columnae carneae ): trabecular network of cords of cardiac muscle fibers in the heart septum
- the connective tissue septa of the lymph nodes
- the connective tissue septa of the spleen
- the connective tissue septa of the erectile tissue
- In the eye a sieve-like mesh at the angle of the chamber through which the aqueous humor flows out of the anterior chamber into Schlemm's canal
