The Trafik AB Västerhejde-Visby was a Swedish corporation .

On September 15, 1911, a concession was granted for a railway line between Visborgsslätt and Bjärs . The background to this concession was to develop the newly founded sanatorium in Kneippbyn with a railway . Therefore, at the beginning of 1912, Transport AB Västerhejde – Visby was founded.

The first two kilometers between the Förvaltarebostaden junction on the Visby – Visborgsslätt and Kneippbyn railway line was opened on June 23, 1912, and the remaining three kilometers between Kneippbyn and Bjärs were opened to public use on August 29.

Before the opening, a contract was signed on March 16, 1912, according to which the new railway company leased the line between Visby and Visborgsslätt from Trafik AB Visby – Visborgsslätt . The contract stipulates that the management of passenger traffic on the entire route between Visby and Hallvards in Västerhejde will be carried out by Trafik AB Västerhejde – Visby under the name Visby – Visborgsslätt – Bjärs Järnväg (VVJ). The freight traffic on the route was carried out by Gotlands Järnvägsaktiebolag . According to the stipulations in the concession, Bjärs terminus was renamed Hallvards.

The traffic on the VVJ was carried out with three steam railcars and partly with steam locomotives and passenger coaches . The number of travelers on the route was always very large in summer, but low in winter. Therefore, the company went into liquidation in 1931 , but continued to operate until December 31, 1939. After the closure of all traffic on the section between Kneippbyn and Hallvards on March 1, 1940, this section of the route was dismantled.

In 1941 the remaining Förvaltarebostaden – Kneippbyn line was nationalized and the company dissolved.
