Tranemo IF is a Swedish sports club from Tranemo . The club's soccer team played one season in the country's second-highest division .
history
The Tranemo IF football team initially played under-class. In the summer of 1956 she rose to the third division for the first time, where she prevailed with 13 wins in 18 season games in front of Östers IF and went straight through to the second division. In the 1957/58 season, which was extended to one and a half years within a calendar year due to the change in the rhythm of the game from autumn to spring, the club missed the league after nine wins of the season as the table tenth of its second division season and rose together with Jonsereds IF and Tidaholms GoIF into the third division. As third in the table, one point was missing from the season winner Östers IF and thus to the direct return. In the following three years placed two more times in third place in the table, the club slipped in the middle of the decade and ended the 1966 season on a relegation zone. Also here in the relegation battle, the club said goodbye in 1969 as a relegated to the fifth division of higher-class football.
