The European Coatings Journal (also ECJ or EC Journal) is an English-language trade journal for the coatings industry published by Vincentz Network . The magazine appeared for the first time in 1986. In 2011, the circulation checked by the IVW reached around 29,000 readers per issue. The European Coatings Journal is an official partner of CEPE , the European paint association.

The target group is all employees and managers in the paint industry, including raw material manufacturers, paint processors, institutes and associations. In addition to the technically oriented specialists, commercially oriented employees are also addressed. The magazine fits perfectly into the portfolio of the Vincentz Network, which also publishes many paint-specific specialist books.

Technical article

In terms of content, research and development topics from the paint sector are dealt with in multi-page specialist articles, but also topics from the areas of paint production and paint raw materials. One topic is dealt with in particular per issue, e.g. B. powder coating , additives or water paint . The specialist articles are mostly sent in by external experts and revised editorially.

Special topics

The European Coatings Journal publishes preliminary reports and reports on specialist trade fairs and congresses (e.g. FATIPEC Congress, European Coatings Show ).

Market studies of individual paint sales markets are published at irregular intervals.

Special editions

The EC Directory is a biennial buying guide for the coatings industry. It contains, among other things, company profiles and an overview of the most important specialist organizations, testing institutes and universities.
