Transfer account

Transfer account is a name for a central overview of all social transfers received . The idea comes from Franz Prettenthaler and was taken up by the ÖVP under Finance Minister Josef Pröll and introduced into the political discussion. The following goals are given:

  • Increased accuracy by telling the recipient of the social transfers which benefits they are still entitled to.
  • Decision-making basis for politics based on anonymized statistical distribution data

Public discussion

The ÖAAB goes beyond this suggestion and demands that all public services be itemized in such an account. The SPÖ rejects this proposal and sees it as a covert initiative for social cuts and cuts .

On March 2, 2010, the SPÖ and ÖVP agreed on the "development of the basis for a model for the presentation of services both in aggregated and in individual form and the assessment of the associated administrative services" under the keyword transparency database .
