The transfer center for adapted technologies (abbreviated TaT) is a technology park of the "TAT Technik Arbeit Transfer gGmbH" in Rheine in the north of Münsterland . It was created in 1990 and opened in 1992. Since then, an average of between 30 and 40 companies have settled on the site. The technology center extends to the north of the city of Rheine on an area of 2.7 hectares .

Goal setting

The TaT serves to support small and medium-sized companies on the site, in the region and beyond in their sustainable development - technically, organizationally and with work-oriented modernization. In addition, the TaT promotes communication and concrete cooperation between business, science and politics on a regional and international level in the areas of renewable energies , ecological building and renewable raw materials . Through its project companies, it works on projects on its topics - usually together with partners from business and science - and supports the acquisition of project funds. The TaT organizes seminars and provides its infrastructure for events to external providers.

Technology park

The technology park not only promotes the use of sustainable technologies (e.g. renewable energies), but also uses them itself. In the TaT, many application examples from the above-mentioned subject areas can be viewed, which are used by the local companies. These include, for example, a wind turbine that supplies the park with electrical energy , a low-energy house and a rotating solar house . A pump wind turbine that fills a cistern with water supplies some of the sanitary facilities with water.
