The DH 100 from Translok GmbH is a shunting locomotive with hydrostatic power transmission and single wheel drive in the medium performance segment. The locomotive was developed in the 1980s by Allrad-Rangiertechnik GmbH in Heiligenhaus in North Rhine-Westphalia. It was sold by the company Zwiehoff, Rosenheim under the name minilok . This type is no longer offered. Only three locomotives were built.

The spacious driver's cab is arranged in the middle and is noticeable for its particularly large panes that almost reach down to the floor level at the front. The vehicles could be delivered with radio remote control. If the locomotive is operated via a radio remote control, this is also used when the driver is in the driver's cab. The vehicle can leave the rails on the solid rubber wheels by folding in the tracking device.

The four-axle DH 100 locomotive has two bogies and a hydrostatic drive, as used primarily in the construction machinery sector. The diesel engine drives a hydraulic pump. Each wheel is individually driven by a hydraulic motor, i. H. there are no axles or wheelsets in the actual sense. This technology makes it possible to apply the full tractive power from the state and to drive at a very low continuous speed of only 1.5 km / h under full engine load. The pressure in the hydraulic system is up to 420 bar.

The drives can also be used for braking in order to protect the mechanical brakes.

To reduce costs, components from the automotive and construction machinery sectors were used as much as possible in the development of the locomotive.
