history
The company was originally founded in Regensburg in 1970, was owner-managed for a long time and was exclusively active in the transport of pharmaceuticals. In 1996 the company merged as a subsidiary of the PHOENIX group. The product portfolio was gradually expanded and further business areas were added. Today, transmed is not only the transport company of the PHOENIX parent company, but also operates an independent additional business and is also active as a financial services company in the field of commercial vehicles and cash register systems.

Transportation services
Throughout Europe, transmed is on the road every day with over 3,000 vehicles for collection and delivery. In addition to PHOENIX, the customer base also includes other companies in the pharmaceutical, optical and spare parts supply industries. Transmed develops individual transport solutions together with customers.
Pharmaceutical wholesaling The core competence of transmed is the transport of pharmaceuticals for the parent company PHOENIX. On several thousand tours, pharmacies are supplied with pharmaceutical products from pharmaceutical wholesaler PHOENIX several times a day .
transmed GDP Solutions
Under the brand "transmed GDP Solutions", transmed offers a transport solution for pharmaceutical manufacturers to pharmacies, wholesalers and other medical institutions, which is intended to guarantee conformity with the EU GDP guidelines.
Optics
transmed also supplies opticians and ophthalmologists with optical products. Approx. 10,000 opticians in Germany receive products at night in transmed's own messenger boxes, which were picked up during the day from manufacturers of spectacle lenses, frames and contact lenses. More than 80,000 packages are delivered via this service every night.
Technology
In the field of spare parts logistics, transmed supplies over 5,000 technicians at night, either through direct delivery in the trunk of the technician's vehicle or at agreed unloading points.
Financial service leasing
Transmed is also active in the leasing sector. In addition to leasing cash register systems from the Apotheken-Dienstleistungsgesellschaft mbH (ADG) for pharmacies, transmed also offers commercial vehicles that can be leased. Due to the lending business requiring a permit, transmed is monitored by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
